Little Johnny Taylor was born Johnny Lamont Merrett, 11th February 1943, in Gregory, Arkansas and, sadly, died earlier this year (2002). From  the beginning of his musical lifetime with the Mighty Clouds Of Joy, he created a legacy of beautiful music. His Somewhere Down the Line coupled with Part Time Love on Galaxy 722, was one of the major contributions to my musical pleasure in the second half of the 20th century.
