FOOLISH HEARTS BREAK FAST * HOMER BANKS * MINIT 1104 * UK

Like countless other Soul singers from the 1960s and 70s singer/songwriter Homer Banks started out singing Gospel, as a teenager he sang with The Soul Consolidators from the late 1950s until his draft into the forces in 1962. In 1965, at the age of twenty four, he cut his first solo recording Sweetie Pie was for the independent Genie label, he signed with Minit the following year where he had five singles released over a period of two years. The self penned Soulful ballad Foolish Hearts Break Fast was released as the B side to Round The Clock Lover Man his penultimate release for the label. Not counting reissues Homer Banks had all of his five Minit issues released in the UK, three on the Liberty label and two on the UK Minit imprint.
