Released in the US on the 1st of February 1966, and in the UK on the 25th March, with a different B side that same year, this mighty ballad was Garnet's last of eleven releases on the United Artists label, from here he moved to Veep, which was an imprint of UA/Liberty.
The original 'United Artists' was formed in 1919 by Charlie Chaplin, Mary Pickford, Douglas Fairbanks and D. W. Griffth. It was formed solely as a distribution company with a mission to release films made by independent producers.
