Born Morris Dollisn Jr., in 1941 singer and guitarist Cash McCall started out singing Gospel and recorded with the Gospel Songbirds for Excello in 1964, his first solo cut was for M-Pac. While at Chess, where he cut the above Soul scorcher produced by Monk Higgins, Cash McCall was an in demand session guitarist learning the trade from the master: Willie Dixon. Although It's Wonderful (To Be In Love) was his only release in the UK the record did get played out at the time of its release in some of the places in London where good Soul was heard.
