LONG AFTER TONIGHT IS ALL OVER * JIMMY RADCLIFFE * STATESIDE 374 * UK
Jimmy Radcliffe's first record for Musicor was Twist Calypso in 1962, this was his fourth, they dropped him after this! For an artist to have such a memorable place in Soul music history, his waxings were remarkably few and far between, only eight 45s in all. While in the UK where, because of this song, his name is in the hearts of Soul music fans he faired even worse with only one release! The acetate below Tastes Sour Don't It has been credited to Jimmy, it certainly sounds like him, and could have been cut when he visited these shores in late 1964. Had this been released his releases in the UK would have hit double figures!.
