He was born Victor I. Hoagland Sr., May 1936, New Brunswick, New Jersey, and started out singing in various groups. This was his eleventh single in the USA and his first issue in England, the backing vocals are provided by the Chiffons. Hoagy Lands died from a bad fall January 2002.
