At the start of his recording career Donnie Elbert cut one single with the Vibra-Harps in 1958, his first solo recordings were for Deluxe the following year. Run Little Girl a sweet up-tempo Soul dancer was the first of four records for the Pittsburgh, PA label Gateway, all of which were released in the UK on an Ember album called The Roots Of Donnie Elbert released in 1973, and also on Klik album A Little Piece Of Leather around the same time.
