TROUBLE IN PARADISE * BILLY WINTER * BELL 147 * USA

Originally recorded by The Crests on Coed 531, the song Trouble In Paradise is very much a 1950s Pop/Doowop sound, it is the singer that makes this covers / budget label cut a goodie. Billy Winter (I wonder if that is his real name) has a fine, polished and professional sounding voice, he could well have previously been singing for one of the Doo Wop groups that had begun to split up in the late 1950s. He doesn't sing on the flip side and never had another release on the label, not under that name anyway.
