Crying Like A Baby was The Jive Five's eighteenth single release and their first - of three - for the Musicor label; and was written by Norman Johnson a member of the group. The song is very much like their earlier releases for Beltone, a kind of Soul Doowop, with the vocal talents of the group, led by Eugene Pitt, given full rein. Possibly because the never had a danceable track released in the UK (they only ever had three British singles) The Jive Five never really gained full recognition in Great Britain.
