DOWN IN THE GHETTO * THE MAJORS * VENTURE 606 * USA
Down In The Ghetto (There Is Love) is the groups first release on the Venture label, the record was issued as by The Major IV, as was all subsequent releases by the group; who probably changed because of the plethora of 'Majors' already in existence: on Imperial, on Derby, on Felsted, on Original, on Gale, and on Josie. The Venture label, a subsidiary of MGM, was run by Mickey Stevenson, formally with The Motown corporation, who co-wrote and produced the above.
