FLY ME TO THE MOON * SAM AND BILL * JODA 104 * USA
Fly Me To The Moon is a song that can confidently be called a Pop standard, and although I would have thought it much older, it was written and first recorded in 1954. It was the second of two releases by Sam (Gary) and Bill (Johnson) on Johnny Nash's Joda imprint, and one of the imports that reached the UK to be sold at the legendary Soul City record shop owned by Dave Goodin.
