Billy Butler followed in his brother Jerry's footsteps and became a Soul singer. When still at high school he formed the group Billy Butler and the Four Chanters. Their first record for OKeh was the staggeringly good Found True Love, the above was his fifth release, written by Curtis Mayfield and produced by Carl Davis.

A great 'prison' song I Can't Work no Longer has been covered by many artists since Billy Butler cut the original; Delroy Wilson recorded a Reggae version in the 1970s but disguised the title by renaming it I Got To See My Woman (see below).
