Another top class Chicago cut blending Doo-Wop with Soul to give an infectious and unforgettable song. The Marvelows, nee The Mystics and later to be known as The Mighty Marvelows, were: Melvin Mason, Willie Sonny Stevenson, Frank Paden, Johnny Paden and Jesse Smith. This was their biggest hit and the band split in 1969.
Released in the US in February 1965 and in the UK in June that year (see below) I Do was The Marvelows second release.
