Originally known as The Hallelujah Gospel Singers, The Swanee Quintet started singing old fashioned traditional songs in church in the early 1940s, two decades later they cut this dynamic Gospel cut which has the flavor of both old time religion and what would have then been a contemporary Soul scorcher.
