SHAKE A TAIL FEATHER * THE FIVE DU-TONES * ONE-DERFUL! 4815* USA

Although they was both released on the same Stateside label in the UK it was the later cover version by James and Bobby Purify in 1967 that was the bigger hit in the South of England. This was an unusual situation for a 'dance' record as they tend, with few exceptions, to be very ephemeral, a dance like say the 'fruggi-hip shuffle' issued in 1964 would hardly be likely to be covered some four years latter by another artist. The above original version was the groups third of nine releases, all on One-derful! Other dance cuts by the group (Andrew Butler, Frank McCurrey, Willie Guest, LeRoy Joyce and James West) include: The Flea, The Cool Bird,  The Chicken Astronaut, The Woodbine Twine, and possibly The Gouster (I don't know if this is a dance or not!)
