I admit I do blow hot and cold with this one, sometimes I think it's even not worth keeping, at other times I have elevated it to the status of a 'double cover'. An all white group from Cincinnati, the Casinos Then You Can Tell Me Goodbye was one of those one off records that managed to convince 90% of those hearing it that they were a black soul group. When it came out this record was played in all the best soul venues in London and the South. It's the flip that gives it away, definitely not up to the mark, still, even as an anomaly, it remains, irreversibly, part of the Southern England soul scene in the sixties.
