WHAT HAVE I DONE * BOGARD BROTHERS * J&W 120 * USA
The Bogard Brothers of Memphis Tennessee had two records on the J&W label, the powerful, reflective, ballad What Have I Done with Leroy Bogard singing lead, was the B side of the second. They sang with other groups before forming their own group in 1963. Their first single was made in 1965 on the small Savior label, owned by Ronald “Slim” Wallace.
The J&W label, originally a Pontiac Michigan label before it moved to Ohio, was owned by gospel singer Rev Willie Morganfield of Jewel Records fame, and cousin of blues singer Muddy Waters, and had over 160 Gospel records to their credit.
