You Really Got A Hold On Me is a beautifully paced mid tempo love song, written and sung on lead by Bill 'Smokey' Robinson, and was originally released on November 9, 1962 as the B side. When it was given A side status it reached number one on the Billboard R&B charts and number eight on Pop.
You Really Got A Hold On Me was the forth Miracles record to be released in Great Britain (the first on the Oriole label, see below) by which time the music of Tamla Motown had a serious cult following with the Modernists (Mods) in the winter of 1962-63.
