AIN'T GOT NO HOME * CLARENCE 'FROG MAN' HENRY * ARGO 5259 * USA

Still performing in and around his native New Orleans, Clarence Henry was born in Algiers, Louisiana in 1937, and, after studying piano and trombone, he joined the Bobby Mitchell R&B band in 1953. He wrote the above,  his first record, which was something of a novelty song, containing his 'Frog Man' alter ego, an ego which has stuck with him, at least in name, to this day. The flip Troubles, Troubles written with band leader Paul Gayton, is a great Rhythm and Blues cut.
