Mona was originally issued in 1957 on American Checker # 860 as the B side to Hey! Bo Diddley, only later released in Britain in 1964 on the very useful Pye International R&B series, when Bo was enjoying something of a renaissance, as was his musical counterpart at Chess, Chuck Berry.
