The first UK Charles Brown release, on both 45 and 78 RPM, an Aladdin issue USA # 3339. At the time of the above releaseVogue Records had an impressive catalouge of Jazz, Blues and R&B releases from a treasure chest of American labels: APOLLO, ARISTOCRAT, BLUE NOTE, CHESS, CIRCLE, CIRCLE HOLLYWOOD, COMMODORE, CONTEMPORARY, DEBUT, DEE GEE, DIAL, DISCOVERY, DOT, DOWNHOME, ELECTRA, ESOTERIC, FANTASY, FOUR STAR, GENE NORMAN, GOOD TIME JAZZ, KING, KING JAZZ, LAGUNA, MERCER, MODERN, PACIFIC JAZZ, PARADOX, PEACOCK, BILL PERRY, ROYAL ROOST, SEECO, SITTIN' IN WITH, UNITED and UNIT; the majority of releases, and labels, dealt with Jazz records, those labels that are of interest to the Blues and R&B collector are typed in bold.
