The great Joe Turner singing one of his own compositions backed by the equally great Jesse Stone on the B side of Teenage Letter. Joseph Vernon Turner, known as Big Joe Turner, was born in Kansas City, in 1911, and by the time he recorded the above had been entertaining and singing the Blues for over thirty years. He signed a three year contract for Atlantic in 1951, but stayed with them for ten years, his first release on the label was Chains Of Love, Atlantic 939.
