Annisteen Allen was vocalist with The Lucky Millinder Orchestra from the late 1940s recording Let It Be in July 1949 on RCA 20-088. The early 1940s Miillinder Orchestra's Decca recordings featured Bill Doggett on piano and Tab Smith alto saxophone, two artist who were later to have careers of their own on King; Sister Rosetta Tharpe also sang on six of these early Decca recordings. Annisteen Allen also recorded as a solo artist on the Federal label at the same time as the parent label was releasing her marital with Lucky Millinder on King.
