Written by Bill Haley and tenor saxophonist Rudolph Pompilii, aka Rudy Pompilli, Rudy's Rock featured in the 1956 film Rock Around the Clock is also credited as the first Rock and Roll instrumental hit. Rudy's Rock was The Comet's fourteenth 45 released in the UK and entered the Briotish charts twice in 1956.
