This is one of the sounds that I most associate with the Scene in Ham Yard c1965, it has a dark, moody, almost claustrophobic atmosphere to it, not unlike the club on a busy might.
Twine Time was Alvin Cash and The Crawlers first record, released in the US November 1964, and February 1965 in the UK, on Stateside, then again on the 3rd of December 1971 as by Alvin Cash and the Registers backed with Twine Awhile (see below).
