The authorities finally caught up with some of the high profile 'Rude' Boys in 1966, on this Coxsone record the Clarendonians sing of the Rude Boys incarceration, and the subsequent diminishment of their prowess. This was the very end of the Ska period, and the end of the Rude Boys, which coincided with the birth of Rock Steady, soon they would be sung about, if at all, with a little sympathy, and nostalgia. Island records UK would, after four more issues, be changing their numbering to the legendary 3000 series, the eleventh issue of which would be the magnificent Dancing Mood by Delroy Wilson, which seemed a million miles away from Rude Boy's and Ska. Or maybe it was just the other side of the coin.
