THINGS COME TO THOSE WHO WAIT * STRANGER COLE * DUTCHESS * JA

Much Jamaican music, in my opinion, is plastic and in reality not able to be pinned down to specific categories. The above is a transitional record which contains elements of both the Boogie and the emerging Ska sound. It might be that there was a pull between say Baba Brooks and Stranger Cole to  influence the session, or we are witnessing an art form struggling to emerge. Who knows (who cares?) what remains from this portion of time is a good record.
