WILDCAT * THE UPSETTERS * DOCTOR BIRD 1034 * UK
A clean, sharp and punchy Ska vocal with a male vocalist and a female group chorus, very similar to Lee Perry's Trial & Crosses. In The Upsetter No. 1, published 1990, David Katz cited the above, although credited to The Upsetters, as being uncertain in it's connection to Lee Perry; probably this has been resolved now, but it seems to me that given its similarity to Trial & Crosses, that it could well be a Perry cut. There's good lively Ska on both sides of this record another of which that was once owned by Sukie, and also owned at one time, judging by the name crossed out, to Flossie! The mystery is were Sukie and Flossie sisters, friends, enemy's or perhaps they were total strangers.
