Top ten R&B hit for the one time gospel group previously known as The Royal Sons Quintet. The "5" Royals were guitarist, writer, and lead singer Lowman Pauling; brother Clarence; William Samuels; Otto Jeffreys and Johnny Tanner. This recording became so popular it prompted Annisteen Allen to release an 'answer' record on King Records, Baby I'm Doin' It, and a bogus group The 'Royals' who were touring as The "5" Royals; though those 'Royals' were not to be confused with The Royals who were to become the Midnighters.
