Let The Good Times Roll was a massive hit for dancers in the US, Great Britain and Jamaica, and Shirley Mae Goodman (1936 - 2005) and Leonard Lee (1936 - 1976) were one of the first R&B groups to visit the island of Jamaica. Originally released on Aladdin 3325 this Jamaican issue on Down Beat, the name of Coxsone Dodd's  Sound System, was possibly also one of the earliest R&B releases issued on the Island. 

First issued in the UK on Vouge in 1956, it was reissued on London in 1960, Island reissued it in 1965 (see below) as a way of making sure the Jamaicans living in Britain could keep getting this in-demand record, a favourite at 'Blues Party's',

As if more proof were needed the song was still popular enough in 1960 when it was covered by Derrick Morgan & Patsy Todd for Duke Reid; see below.
