LONG LONELY NIGHTS * LEE ANDREWS AND THE HEARTS * CHESS 1665 * USA

Although Lee Andrews and The Hearts were from Philadelphia their first record Maybe You'll Be There was for the New York independent Rainbow #252, in April 1954. Long Lonely Nights although originally recorded for the Philadelphia label Gotham was first released on Main Line (also Philadelphia). The above Chess pressing was released in July 1957, the same year as the Main Line release. Chess continued to press the record right up until the late 1960s with many label variations (and takes!) The Lana issue (see below) was an early 60s reissue label.
