Tears On My Pillow was the groups first release on George Goldner's End label, and their first as The Imperials, a name given to them by Ed Galley a promotional man working for End. The group had previously recorded as The Duponts, for Winley and Roal Roost, and as The Chesters for Apollo; their second release for End was as Little Anthony And The Imperials, the name they would be subsequently known as.
