Originally released on Big Top in the USA What's Your Name by the vocal duet Roland "Don" Trone and Claude "Juan" Johnson was a top ten hit on the Billboard Pop charts in 1962, and, although the record was released well into the Soul era, it is held to be one of the classics of Doo Wop. It was released in the UK in March 1962 but probably due to lack of air play failed to make the charts. The Vocal Duo Mel & Tim cut a good version for Stax, and Lloyd Daley produced a version sung by Audley Rollins in 1973 (see below).
