WORK WITH ME ANNIE * THE ROYALS * KING 502 * USA

The group, consisting of Hank Ballard, Henry Booth, Charles Sutton, Sonny Woods, and guitarist Alonzo Tucker, recorded this as the Royals but changed their name to the Midnighters as the record started to pick up sales, to avoid confusion with the Five Royals. This, the first of the 'Annie' records sold a million copies, as did Annie Had A Baby and Annies's Aunt Fanny, all of which were banned for radio play. This is an official King reissue from 1975.
