The Original Five Blind Boys (of Jackson Mississippi) started singing together in the school for the blind in Piney Wood Mississippi calling themselves The Cotton Blossom Singers after leaving school in 1945 they changed their name to The Jackson Harmoneers, then at the end of the decade they became The Five Blind Boys of Jackson Mississippi. The above British EP has two tracks from the 'Boys' originally issued on Don Robey's nascent Peacock label # 1553.
