The Charts: Joe Grier, Leroy Binns, Steven Brown, Glenmore Jackson and Ross Buford were all from Harlem, at the very beginning of their career the quintet were booed of stage at one of Harlem's famous Apollo theater amateur nights, yet their belief in themselves helped them go on to have a record, of the song that got booed, on Billboard's Pop chart. The song that helped them experience the high's and low's of the music industry was Deserie, written by Joe Grier it became their debut record on Everlast 5001 in 1957. Your The Reason (Everlast 5006), a sweet Doo Wop ballad, was the groups third of six for the label, is seen here on this 1970s reissue backed with I've Been Wondering the original B side.
