This is a beautiful instrumental version of Phyllis Dillon's big hit
Perfidia,
and is on a Jamaican 'blank label' or 'Pre' (Pre-release) which has a 'Doctor
Bird Records' stamp, with Perfidia written in spidery hand writing,
it also has 7/6 boldly penned on the label, which would have been the price (37 pence UK)
for Pre's, in the early days of the fashion for buying them from retail
outlets. Pre's, for the reggae fan, soon became 'must have' form of record
and the price quickly jumped to one pound sterling, and sometimes more,
this was three to four times the price of a regular issue at the time.
