Otis Rush debut recording the age of twenty two and the first for Elias P. Toscano's Chicago based Cobra Record label. Recorded in Chicago in 1956 I Can't Quit You Baby is an iconic post war electric Blues recording.  A powerful vocal and guitar contribution from Otis Rush with a full instrumental backing by: Lucius Washington and Harold Ashby tenor saxophones; Lafayette Leake, piano; Willie Dixon, bass; and either Al Duncan or Wayne Bennett, on drums. Scoring a top ten hit on the R&B charts the record instantly elevated Otis Rush into one of the top Blues men of the day.
