IT AIN'T RIGHT * CHICK WILLIS * LA VAL 871 * USA

The A side of this record is a risqué Blues Stoop Down Baby was a big hit for a Robert 'Chick' Willis selling a reputed three million copies, It Ain't Right is anything but a slack record being a Blues on the condition of being Black. Coming at a relatively late stage in his musical career Chick Willis was 38 when he cut this for the Kalamazoo independent La Val label, as he had cut his first record Never Let Me Go for Ebb # 126 as Robert Willis in 1956 and  playing guitar with his cousin Chuck Wills and then with Elmore James. Chic Willis is still playing, singing and recording today.
