LEAVE MY GIRL ALONE * BUDDY GUY * CHESS 1936 * USA

Buddy Guy's first 45s were for Eli Toscano's Chicago based Artistic label in 1958, he began recording with Chess two years later; the uncompromising Leave My Girl Alone is from a Chicago recording session on 23 May 1965, which featured A.C. Reed and Milton Bland, tenor saxophone; Leonard Caston, organ; Matt Murphy, guitar; Leroy Stewart, bass, and an unknown drummer.

The self-penned Leave My Girl Alone was also issued in the UK in the British Chess label, and on the Crazy Music EP (see below) where it was wrongly titled Leave My Baby Alone.
