MONEY IS THE NAME OF THE GAME * BUSTER BENTON * JEWEL 854 * USA
Born in Texarkana, Arkansas, Buster Benton started out playing the Blues in Toledo, Ohio, in the 1950s but ended up in Chicago in the 1960s cutting some more Soul oriented Blues records for small independents. His records cut in the 1970s have given him his enduring profile amongst fans of electrified Chicago blues of this period. Money Is The Name Of The Game was his follow up to his biggest hit: Spider In My Stew.
