The labels Herald and Ember were formed by Al Silver in New York City in 1952, Silver hit the jackpot in January 1958 when he had five concurrent hit's: Walking With Mr. Lee, by Lee Allen, Get A Job, by the Silhouettes, The Wadda-Do, by the Turbans, I Remember Dear, by the Tune Weavers and The Joker by Billy Myles. In the music press at the time the coup was referred to as a royal flush (how the language has changed) and Silver is quoted saying; "I never dreamed it could happen to me".
