YOU NEED LOVE * MUDDY WATERS * CHESS 1839 * USA

A Willie Dixon composition on this compelling Blues from Muddy Waters, Willie Dixon also plays bass along with J. T. Brown and Ernest Cotton on tenor saxophones; Earl Hooker, guitar; and Casey Jones drums. Muddy Waters was well known in Great Britain at the time of this recording, probably the most well known of the modern Blues singers, yet he had only four singles issued! (and one of them was limited to a run of 99) and while You Need Love was not one of those four, it was released on his only Pye International EP #44010 along with Little Brown Bird (the B side of the above) and two other cuts.
