Jack Ruby (a.k.a. Rubenstein) shot Lee Harvey Oswald, who was himself arrested for the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. The killing was broadcast live on TV (the most extreme entertainment) and Ruby was subsequently arrested, tried, and sent to prison, where he died of cancer in 1967.
