PEANUT VENDOR * FRANKIE ANDERSON & THE SKATALITES * R&B 146 * UK

It seems that trumpeter Frankie Anderson only had three records issued for Coxsone Dodd under his own name, the above with The Skatalites Always On Sunday also (also with the Skatalites) released in the UK (R&B 141) and Wheel And Turn with Tommy McCook in 1961.

Peanut Vendor originally titled El Manisero, is a Cuban song based on a street-seller's cry, and known as a pregón, it was the first million selling Cuban 78rpm record.

Here's a 1932 Len Lye experimental cartoon of Peanut Vendor.
