A B C BOOGIE * RUDDY AND SKETTO BARON TWIST AND HIS KNIGHTS * DICE 2 * UK

Ruddy (Grant) & Sketto (Richards) had something like 16 records released in the UK all of which were British productions most often backed by Laurel Aitken's band or Reco's All Stars.

A B C Boogie is what it says on the label: a Jamaican style Boogie, and while it has that distinctive pedestrian plod, plod, plodding sound most British 'Blue Beat' recordings had at that time, not to mention the 'nursery rhyme' type lyrics, A B C Boogie does have a very distinctive and classy saxophone riffing and screeching throughout, which, for me, lifts the track out of the norm.
