Derrick Morgan was prolific solo recording artist and with various groups: The Blenders, The Ebonies, The Four Aces, and The Techniques, he also dueted with several other male singers, including: Basil, Denzil, Drumbago, Eric, Lloyd, and Prince Buster, and with at least three other female counterparts: Naomi, Pauline, and Yvonne. This duet with Patsy Todd was the flip of one of the most popular songs he did with a female counterpart, it was produced by Leslie Kong, the producer who he had his biggest successes with. At about the time this record was cut male/female duet's were very popular due in part to a contemporary American hit, Rockin' Good Way, by Dinah Washington and Brook Benton. The popularity of American M/F duet's can be traced at least back to great R&B couples such as Gene and Eunice, or Shirley and Lee, both of whom were huge favourites in the mid to late fifties in both America and Jamaica.
