Drumbago, aka Arkland Parks, died in 1968 or 69. He began playing drums in the 1940s, and along Aston 'Wackie' Henry, was first of the drummer's to be used on disc by Duke Reid's and Coxson, he was also Prince Buster's most favored drummer. Tommy McCook, who started recording for Duke Reid in 1962, recalls that Drumbago was Duke's favorite drummer "until Lloydie [Knibbs] change up the scene, then Duke have no work for Drumbago". The credits for this record are for Drumbago and his band, but the 'band' belonged, at least for the credits on the disc, to any member who happened to come up with the tune that was recorded.
