Strange lyrics sung with nice harmony from Horace (Faith [aka Horace Smith]) And The Imperials, along with the relaxed sounding vocals, and an insistent Reggae beat, all makes Black Is Soul a quality cut. This was the groups only release on Bullet, they had one on Nu-Beat and that was it for the UK, as far as I can tell, though they seemed to have at least a couple more in Jamaica, one on Carib-Dis-Co and one on Larrytone, produced by J Beckford.
Black Is Soul was released in Jamaica with a different B side to the UK Bullet issue, and often turns up as a Pre only, with the word 'BLANK-A' stamped in mauve ink (see below).
