STAY A LITTLE BIT LONGER * DELANO STEWART * HIGH NOTE 041 * UK
Sonia Pottinger owned the Tip Top record shop located on the famous Orange Street, Kingston, Jamaica, the shop was successful enough for her to branch out into recording and in 1966 she started to produce some excellent tracks at Duke Reid's Treasure Isle studio. Winston Delano Stewart, one time singer with the Gaylads, who also cut some top tunes for Sonia Pottinger, including the original version of It's Hard To Confess, is singing on this self penned song about spending time with his girlfriend, though whether the song is in the same vein as the song Relax by Frankie Goes To Hollywood, I wouldn't like to say.
